An entirely new machine design which makes possible high speed deburring and finishing of a multiplicity of larger size piece parts heretofore impractical except by hand methods. Centri-flo equipment provides a controlled method of consistently deburring, generating radii, and improving microinch surface finishes to the most exacting engineering requirements, completely eliminating the element of human error.

An abrasive slurry is contained in a circular tank which is rotated at a high rate of speed. Centrifugal force causes the abrasive slurry to simulate a form fitting grinding wheel at the periphery of the tank. Piece parts to be processed are automatically fixtured to rotating spindles which are indexed into the abrasive media for an electrically timed predetermined cycle.

Spindle rotation assures that the piece part will be worked upon uniformly. At the end of the processing cycle, the deburring spindle automatically returns to the loading position where the finished part is rinsed and the spindle is reloaded with another raw part. The operator’s only function is to alternately load and unload the two spindles.

Part sizes 12″ up to 48″ in diameter.

CFT-4000-1 “TORNADO”

Model CFT-4000-1 is capable of processing suitable piece parts up to 40″ diameter; and is powered by a 75 HP Variable Speed Drive Unit. All other basic functions are the same as CFT-2000-1.
