The Durr Universal 81C utilizes non-chlorinated hydrocarbons in a closed loop system to provide superior process results virtually emission free. A highly effective cleaning media non-halogenated hydrocarbons allow safe and economical use of solvents for removing oils, greases, emulsions and swarf between or after manufacturing processes. On account of its many different process variants using hot and/or cold immersion with downline vapor degreasing, the sophisticated technology of the Universal 81C cleaning system is ideal for meeting the requirements expected of modern manufacturing processes with regard to quality and functionality. Removal of large quantities of oil or swarf from mass produced parts or particles of dirt with a defined size in fine cleaning can be achieved by selecting the appropriate filtering system and other application dependent optional extras.

Units are self-contained and compact minimizing installation costs. All machines utilize a high degree of stainless steel, not only in the tanks and chambers, but in components, such as valves and pumps. All units incorporate a single cleaning chamber that facilitates complete submersion of the component(s). High pressure pumps offer Injection Flood Wash circulation options. Vacuum drying and ultrasonic cleaning are available in all the units. User defined part rotation from 10 degrees to 360 degrees is also standard in all units with part specific process recipes stored and retrieved via a friendly machine interface.

The Universal 81C utilizes a distillation system that continuously circulates the solvent. The solvent is evaporated and reclaimed to provide complete separation of contaminates. Contaminates are accumulated in an easy to clean container for proper disposal. Vapor degreasing can also be done in this single chamber system.

A typical cycle:
1. Load part and close chamber door
2. Evacuate air from chamber
3. Submerge, rotate
4. Empty chamber and draw vacuum
5. Vapor degrease
6. Vacuum dry
7. Backfill chamber with plant air
8. Open door.
